Counting Down

So here we are 9 days from our due date and we are as anxious as can be. Constantly on edge, continually thinking “If she comes today…” and all the things that come along with being in arms reach of meeting your child for the first time.

As I stopped to think about it, I realized that I have been so wrapped up in absolutely nothing but “I hope Reagan comes today”. And I don’t apologize for my excitement because who wouldn’t be totally stoked that their life was about to be completely and totally turned upside down? But I did in fact realize that it’s almost Christmas and other people have things going on in their lives as well and I’m more than likely getting on some peoples nerves. Possibly even my husbands…

so I decided that I was going to make a list of things for my wonderful hubby and myself to do each day to sort of pass the time. Give us something to look forward to every day instead of simply sitting around whining because our baby hasn’t made her grand entrance. So I thought each night I would share with everyone how we are managing to wait patiently (yeah, right) on our sweet Princess to arrive!

Some nights (most nights) are simple and corny because Michael doesn’t get home until 7pm and we generally like to be in bed between 9-9:30 (laugh all you want, we simply enjoy sleeping).

Tonight was Domino night! We enjoyed some pasta and Big Bang Theory and then Michael taught me how to play Dominos. And judge me if you want, I LOVED it! And I won which always makes for a great time! But we laughed and simply enjoyed each other’s company without any interruptions and it was just what I needed to get my mind off of everything that’s been going on. It even got my mind off of how bad my house needs to be cleaned.

The way I see it, the cleaning can wait. I spent my evening with the man of my dreams laughing and playing like two teenagers falling in love for the first time. It’s moments like these that will always hold a special place in my heart!
